Mary Waldron

August 29, 1922 — September 17, 2012

Mary Jane Waldron, age 90, passed away September 17 at the Wyoming Medical Center, after a sudden illness. Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 315 CY Ave., Casper, Saturday, September 22, at 11 AM. She was born in Casper on August 29, 1922, to Cora and Elmer Rutherford. She graduated from NCHS in 1939 and entered nurses training. Mary Jane met her first husband, Mardy Brock, during World War II, when he was stationed at the airbase in Casper. They met at the Wagon Wheel roller skating rink and married barely a month later. They enjoyed 35 years of marriage and raised five children before his passing in 1980. She worked as a school nurse in Natrona County for 20 years and retired in 1987. Mutual friends introduced her to Malon Waldron, with whom she shared 17 years of marriage before his passing. She was preceded in death by her four siblings, LeWayne Force, Josephine Baker, Arthur Rutherford, and Helen Sodman, her grandson Dylan Brock, and her two husbands Mardy Brock and Malon Waldron. She is survived by her five children, James Brock, (Dorothy) of Windsor, CO, Robert Brock of Columbia, MD, Thomas Brock, (Karleen) of Casper, Paul Brock (Cynthia), of Cheyenne, and Marda Kirkwood (Brad) of Kent, WA; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials or flowers may be sent to Grace Lutheran Church.
