Mary Lou Mills-McNeely, 91, longtime resident of Hanna, Wyoming died on Thursday, June 19 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, WY. She was born Mary Lou Blaylock on 3 January, 1922 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Malcolm and Mary Blaylock. Mary Lou met her first husband, Merritt R. "Junior" Mills while working at the Camp Chaffee (Arkansas) Post Laundry during World War ll. They were married on 12 August, 1944. After Merritt's return from overseas, they settled in Hanna in April, 1946. Merritt was a mechanic for Fenimore Chevrolet for many years. Later he worked for Ralph Crow sawmills in Saratoga and Hanna. Merritt died in December, 1968. In November 1970, Mary Lou married E. E. "Mac" McNeely. Mac worked for Rosebud Coal Co. as a dragline oiler until his death in November 1981. Mary Lou worked for Oasis Café in Medicine Bow and for Iva Johnson at the Miner Café in Hanna, but was primarily known as an excellent Mother, homemaker and for the delicious meals she cooked. Mary Lou will be greatly missed by her Family, Friends and all who knew and loved her. Mary Lou is survived by sons Charles Mills (Carmen) of Casper, WY and Kenneth Mills (Julie) of Elko, Nevada, Stepdaughter Ann Schmidt (Dan) of Arvada, CO, Grandchildren Michelle Mills, Casper, WY, Carla Mills-Laatsch (Doug), Evansville, WY, Carroll Mills (Lynett), Riverton, WY, Stacy Woody (Abram), Laughlin AFB, Texas, Jason Schmidt (Katie), Thornton, CO and Andria Schmidt, Idaho Springs, CO. She is also survived by nine Great Grandchildren and numerous extended family. Mary Lou was preceded in death by both her husbands, and son Carroll Mills in February 2008. Graveside Services will be held at the Hanna (Wyoming) Cemetery on Sunday, June 23 at 1:00 pm, with a Funeral Reception immediately following at the First Baptist Church in Hanna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyoming.
