Mary Cunningham

August 21, 1921 — May 10, 2013

Mary Helen (Denilauler) Cunningham Mary Cunningham, 91, went to be her Father and Savior the Lord Jesus Christ on May 10, 2013. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Home. Mary was born on August 21, 1021 to George Martin and Ellen Sara (Johnson) Denilauer in Casper, Wyoming. She attended St. Anthony's school and Natrona County High School graduating in 1939. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado in 1944. She started her teaching career at Wheatland High School where she taught math for two years. She then taught at Dean Morgan Junior High in Casper for an additional 20 years. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority, a national teacher's sorority. She is also a former member of NEA and WEA. Mary received a great honor from the Partners In Education of At. Anthony's school recently. They honored her as a living member of the graduating class of 1935. She was overjoyed with the honor. She met her husband of fifty years Herbert (Herb) Cunningham and was married on November 11, 1946. She is survived by her four children all of Casper, Susan Walker, Steve and Cheryl Cunningham, Greg and Patti Cunningham and Geoellen and Terry Stretesky. Mary enjoyed her nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards, and travel. Mary enjoyed her later years of her life at Meadow Winds Assisted Living before transferring to Central Wyoming Hospice. Please join the celebration of Mary's life at St.. Patrick's church in Casper. Mass is scheduled for 11:00am, May 15, 2013 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or Wyoming Central Hospice.
