Mary L. Climer

Mary Luann Peirce Climer, 81, of Casper, WY, went to be with her loving husband and the Lord on November 11, 2023.

 Mary was born in Catawba, MO to Woody and Luella Peirce on September 27, 1942. She graduated from Braymer High School in 1960 and enjoyed playing on the girls Basketball team and twirling the baton with the Band. She was always entering talent competitions with her beautiful voice and dreamed of singing the National Anthem at a New York Yankees game. After high school she married Dennis Climer and they soon moved to Excelsior Springs, MO where they started their family. Dennis and Mary were married just shy of 62 years. Mary went on to receive her Interior design Consultant Certificate before moving to Casper in 1975. While making her home in Casper, Mary got her Realtors License and then went on to manage Casper Village Apartments for over 20 years. Mary was active in the community and was President of the Chamber of Commerce in 2005. She was also involved for many years with the Casper Sports and Attractions Committee. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years and dearly loved her Sorority Sisters and made lots of wonderful friendships. After retiring from Casper Village, Mary could be found selling and taking tickets at the Kelly Walsh football, basketball, and track events. As well as volunteering for state volleyball and track. She also loved watching the WY Cowboys football and basketball games. Family was very important to Mary, and she looked forward to Birthdays and Holidays when the family would gather for a meal and shenanigans.

Mary is survived by her three children, Sherri (Jesse) Lafferty of Fruita, CO; Terri Coffman and Jerry (Pam) Climer of Casper. Her 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandkids and one great great granddaughter all of Casper. A sister, Arlene Cashaw of Braymer, MO, and several nieces and nephews, most of whom reside in MO, and dear friends of 58 years, Jim and Elaine Badger and family of Casper.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20^th at 10:30 a.m. at the Casper Shrine Club, with a light lunch to follow.  Mary was always wearing a perfectly matched broach with her outfit. Please wear a favorite broach in Mary’s honor.
