Martha "Lynne" French Sanderson, 68, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2010 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a recent courageous battle with heart disease. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper with Pastor Fred Schroeder of Lander officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Lynne was born on February 19, 1942 in Robinson, Illinois, to Kenneth and Frances French. She moved to Worland, Wyoming during her senior year of high school when her father transferred there with Marathon Oil in 1960. In Worland, she met Noel Frank Sanderson and they later married on July 23, 1961. As a dedicated "homemaker", she served several years on the Mills Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered several years at the Mills Town Library as well as the Mills Elementary School Library. During the years that her son was a member of the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps., she spent many hours volunteering at practices and Trooper Bingo. She loved people and never met a person she couldn't be friends with. Lynne was known for "giving hugs" to anyone and everyone who needed it. She loved to cook and was known among family and friends for her homemade rolls, noodles and fried chicken. As an avid fan of the TV services, "Survivor", she rarely missed an episode. Lynn is survived by her husband of 48 years, her son Allen of Casper, daughter Diane and her husband Robert Mintle, also of Casper, several nieces and nephews, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and three "grand-dogs". She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry, grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Memorial contributions may be made in Lynne's name to the Casper Humane Society. Lynne will be deeply missed by all....including the birds she enjoyed feeding at home. Condolences for the family may be left at bustardsfuneralhome.com
