Funeral services for Martha "Matina" S. Roussalis, 96, will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1350 East "C" Street. Trisagion services will be held at 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Entombment will at Highland Cemetery. Following the graveside services, there will be a reception at the Casper Petroleum Club. Mrs. Roussalis died May 10, 2010 at Central Wyoming Hospice after a lengthy illness. She was born September 4, 1913 in Leonidion, Greece, the daughter of George and Maria Ganis. She was taught to be a seamstress and excelled at embroidery and cutwork. On March 7, 1935, she married Steve E. Roussalis in Leonidion, Greece and they made their home in Casper. During WWII, she was active in the Greek War Relief and helped to send many packages to Europe. She was a devoted and faithful member of the Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling with her family; was a student of and had active interest in the New York Stock Exchange. Matina was very social; enjoyed making friends and being with her family. She is survived by four children; Metta Roussalis, Mary Kofakis, Lou Roussalis and his wife, Linda, Georgia Roussalis; one granddaughter, Joanne Dunham and her husband, Eric, nephew, Alex Lampros, and other numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, brother Anthansios, sister, Aliki and her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church or a charity of the donor's choice. Condolences for the family may be left at bustardsfuneralhome.com.
