Mark R. Steinle, 65, passed away peacefully at the hospice home after a 2.5-year fight with mantle cell lymphoma. Funeral services will be held November 30th at 3pm at First Christian Church with a reception following the service. A private burial will take place on December 1st for the family. Mark was born in Casper, WY on October 10, 1952 to Robert and Elizabeth Steinle. He graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1971. He earned two Associates degrees from Casper College, a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from the University of Wyoming, and a PhD from Colorado State University. On August 19, 1972, Mark married his best friend and love of his life, Pamela Sue Day. They had one daughter, Jena Jean Steinle, in 1974. Mark was a wonderful husband and father, as well as a great businessman and teacher. Mark started his career as an apprentice in plumbing and pipefitting. He worked both in industry for Petro Engineering, as well as a teacher at Casper College in Construction, Welding, and Business until retirement in 2016. Mark enjoyed working in the business world and later translated that love into teaching. He loved interacting with his students and was a beloved mentor by those who knew him. Mark is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pam Steinle, his daughter, Jena Smith (Jamie), his mother, Elizabeth Steinle, a brother Steve Steinle (Vicki), and a sister Liddy Chaney (John W.), as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, as well as his grandparents. Donations can be made to the Mark Steinle Scholarship in Construction and Welding in care of the Casper College Foundation, Central Wyoming Hospice, or First Christian Church.
