Marjorie Ella Barker was born in the Midwest Hospital located in the small town of Midwest, Wyoming to Lyle and Mabel Trehearne on June 1, 1932. She thoroughly enjoyed her childhood in Midwest, Wyoming. They lived in Canadian Camp house # 4 and then #6. She had fond memories of how everyone would gather for dinner on the basketball field at Canadian Camp. Her favorite holiday memory was when everyone in the camp gave homemade gifts and oranges for Christmas. She enjoyed attending Midwest High School. She was married to Colbert (Bert) Thomas Barker for 54 years before his death in December 2011. They raised two daughters, Diane Carpenter, and Klrinda Foreman. During their marriage, they frequently traveled back and forth to Riverton to visit her family and took the family camping, fishing, and boating every chance they had. Her first job was washing dishes at the Midwest Café and later in life worked at the Bon Agency and Kistler Tent and Awning. Marjorie was a wonderful woman who had a talent for sewing and quilting. She loved crocheting and doing crafts, pottery, and ceramics and frequently received compliments on her work. Her most treasured pastime was raising her two daughters and helping them raise their children and later her great-grandchildren. Marjorie passed away peacefully of congestive heart failure at Central Wyoming Hospice on June 10, 2021. She is survived by her daughters, Klrinda (Chuck) Foreman and Diane Carpenter; grandchildren Dustin (Shantilla) Hitshew, Brandy Coyle, Chase (Dana) Erdman, Deidre (Eric) Hudson; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Colbert Thomas Barker, parents Lyle Edwin and Mabel (Lorah) Trehearne, and brother Bud Trehearne.
