Marilyn was born October 12, 1931 in Norfolk, Nebraska to Roland and Jessie Hummel, they soon divorced. Jessie later married Claude Sprague who adopted Marilyn at the age of 2. Eventually Marilyn moved to Dayton, Ohio where she graduated high school. After graduation Marilyn moved to Ainsworth, Nebraska where she met Andrew Jackson. On January 20, 1951 Marilyn married Andrew Jackson and together they had two sons, Steve and Rex. Marilyn worked in the Soil Conservation Service until retiring sometime in the late 1980's. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Traveling, summers at the lake, doing crosswords puzzles, playing cards, bowling and shuffle board. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Narfe and the Casper Boat Club. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 67 years Andrew, her sons Steve and Rex(Nancy), grandchildren Trooper Nix-Jackson(Tricia), Lindsay Gonzales(Willie), Jenny McMurrough(Danny), Mary Orr(Jake), 8 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren and sister Anna Purdue(Kleon). Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Jessie Sprague, daughter-in-law Lorrie Jackson and granddaughter Stephanie Jackson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper.
