Marilyn M. Fletcher

  Marilyn M. Fletcher of Casper, Wyoming passed away peacefully in the company of her family on November 12, 2023. She was born in Edgerton, WY. Her family later moved to Casper, WY.

  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Boyd Avenue Baptist Church, 1930 Boyd Avenue, Casper, WY. A viewing will be available from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday at Bustards Funeral Home and again from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ruby Grace, husband, Dean Fletcher, sister, June Reed, and brother, Ed Grace Jr.   She is survived by her two sisters, Linda Felton, Sandra Harbarger (Frank), and brother-in-law, Jim Reed and children Tim Byer (Liz), Keith Byer, Cliff Byer (Amanda), seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

  As a teenager, Marilyn loved to dance. As an adult, she was very excited to be the volunteer fire chief for the Evansville Fire Department. Throughout much of her later adult life, she struggled with weight loss, but by 1976 she had lost enough weight to be the TOPS Wyoming State Chapter Queen.  Marilyn was very active in her church, the Epilepsy Support Group and the Brain Injury Support Group. Memorials can be sent to either of these groups, Central Wyoming Hospice or Boyd Avenue Baptist Church.

  Marilyn worked hard to get her GED in her later years and her family was very proud of her accomplishment.
