Marilyn Gail Eger of Denver, CO. went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 29th, 2012 at Porter Hospice in Centennial, CO. She was born on April 11, 1936 in Evansville, Indiana to Ronald and Mary Crook. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert (Bob) Crook. Marilyn married Charles L. Eger on May 15, 1954. She went to Waller High School in Chicago, Ill., and graduated 10th in her class in 1953. She moved to Evansville, Ind., with her parents, and worked as a secretary for a lawyer. She loved to sing and harmonize. She sang in quartets with her parents in a street ministry in Evansville. Never one to do things half heartedly, Marilyn was active in Casper Open Bible Church, Women's Aglow and Geo-Wives. In Roswell, NM, she was involved with the Jr. League and taught Sunday school at the church. Marilyn was highly creative and loved to sew. She was instrumental in starting a street ministry in Casper, Wyoming called "God's Army". She was an avid reader and studier of the Bible and taught it as well. Her joy was in helping alcoholics and street people come to know wholeness thru Jesus Christ. Marilyn was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles L. Eger, of Denver, Colorado; children Lynda Finch of Denver, Co., Kenneth (Angie) Eger of Dallas, TX and Jeff (Lori) Eger of Casper; grandchildren Jennie (Sean) Wren, Jamie (Chris) Kearney, Ryan Eger and Aaron Eger; and great-grandchildren Mara Wren, Dorian Wren and CJ Kearney. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6th at 10:30 a.m. at River of Life Ministries, Casper, Wyoming. Rev. Mike Dragan from Word of Life Christian Center in Lone Tree, Colorado will officiate the service. An open viewing will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 5th, at Bustard's Funeral Home. Arrangements were made by Bustard's Funeral Home. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Littleton Adventist Hospital, Orchard Park Health Care Center and Porter Hospice. The family requests memorial gifts be made to Visions Beyond Borders, (P.O. Box 11385, Bozeman, MT. 59719) and Central Wyoming Rescue Mission, (230 N. Park, Casper, Wyo. 82601). The family is so grateful for family, friends, and churches who have helped us through Marilyn's homecoming.
