Marie Louise Compton

Marie Louise Compton, 80, of Casper, Wyoming passed away November 7, 2023.  She was born April 21, 1943 in Ludlow, Massachusetts.

Marie was the eldest child of Leon Cyril and Fabiola Flora Boucher.  Marie grew up in Indian Orchard and Springfield, MA.  While working at the Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, She met the love of her life Gary Wayne Compton, who was serving the the United States Air Force.  They married on October 10, 1960 in Denton Maryland. They moved to Casper, WY in 1961.

Marie was know for her strength of character and hard work.  She sold home furnishings for various stores in Casper while raising her children.  Marie was a devoted wife, mother and grand-mother, as well as a true friend to many.  Marie loved to sew and read.

Marie is survived by her husband Gary; daughter, Diana (Brent) Coon of Idaho Falls, son, Brian (Rhonda) Compton of Casper; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren;  Brothers and Sisters, Wallace (Phyllis) Boucher, Salem NH; Elizabeth (Robert) Kneeland Mathuen, MA; Armand (Carleen) Boucher, Mathuen, MA; and Nancy DeLelles, St. Augustine, FL.; Tony Maiorana Jr, and Cecilia Nguyen both of Casper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie will be laid to rest in the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, Evansville, Wyoming.
