Marie Bridges

Marie Eleanor (Drollinger) Bridges, 80, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday September 10, 2018 at Shepard of the Valley Care Center in Casper, WY. Services are planned for 10 am, Monday September 17, 2018 at Bustards Funeral Home in Casper with Rev. Brenda Frelsi of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Cremation has taken place. Her ashes will be spread in the Pinedale, WY area at a later date. Marie was born July 9, 1938 in Casper, WY to Gearld S Drollinger and Mary E (Higgins) Drollinger. She attended Casper area schools before graduating from Dudley M Hughes Vocational High School of Macon, GA in 1956. In 1962 she married James E Land and they were later divorced. In January 1970 Marie married James W Bridges, they were later divorced. During their marriage they adopted their son Bryan. In 1980 they purchased the Elkhorn Bar and Grocery in Bondurant, WY where they lived before moving back to Casper in 1984. During her lifetime she worked as a legal secretary for a number of law firms in California, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Wyoming. Marie obtained her Real Estate License in 1995 and worked for Bishop Real Estate for a brief time before her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. Marie enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, shooting pool and her frequent trips to Las Vegas. She is survived by her son Bryan K Bridges: 3 Grandchildren James D Bridges, Carrie M Bridges and Cody A Bridges all of Casper, WY: Siblings, Carroll D Adamson of Peoria, AZ, Wesley G Drollinger of Spokane, WA, Sally L Pearce (Willard) of Mills, WY and Susan L Drollinger of Casper, WY: She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband's James E Land and James W Bridges, her parents Gearld S Drollinger and Mary E Arthur. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Casper Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
