Marianne Gettys

  Marianne Gettys, 93, passed away on January 1, 2024, at Lifecare. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery in Casper.

  Marianne was born November 21, 1930, to Will H. and Anna Marie (Pasterski) Kendall in Butte, Montana. She moved to Sheridan as an infant where she graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Sheridan College.

  She married Robert C. Gettys on June 5, 1953, in Sheridan, WY. They moved to Casper in 1954.

  She was employed by the Veterans Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service in Sheridan, and Casper. In 1967, she was employed by Casper Grinding and Supply as office manager, a position she held until her retirement in 1985.

  Marianne was active in the Wyoming Credit Union movement having served on various committees as well as treasurer, office manager and member of the Board of Directors.

  She is survived by her daughter Karen Ann (Gettys) Binder, son-in-law Jonathan P. Binder, and her grandsons Nicholas Aaron (Megan) Binder of Jacksonville, FL and Matthew Sean (Alyssa) Binder of San Antonio, TX, and great-grandson Declan Edward Binder.

  She is preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Gettys and her parents.
