Casper, Wyoming April 28, 1923-March 27, 2017 Marian Elizabeth Mills Peek, 93, of Casper, Wyoming went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2017 from natural causes. Marian was born on April 28, 1923 to Lucille (Jackson) and Roger Mills in Wheatland, Wyoming. She graduated from Wheatland High School and continued her studies at the University of Wyoming. She taught in rural Wyoming schools for several years. She married C.P. Burden of Douglas in 1942. They were later divorced. Marian later moved to Ogden, Utah and worked for the federal government for several years. While in Utah, she married Fred Peek in 1960. They moved to Casper in 1964. She was a long time member of the Richard Street Christian Church. Beginning in 1970, she served as the forwarding agent for her nephew, Stuart Cook, who was a missionary in South Africa. She continued that for over twenty years. Marian and her husband, Fred, started and operated two businesses for many years: Peek's Hearth and Home and Peek's Small World. In 1992-1993, Marian spent six months in South Africa as a helper for Stuart and Marilyn Cook's mission. Marian is survived by her daughters, Sandra Peek Wallace (John) of Tennessee and Linda Hallawell of Missouri, along with sons Richard (Kelly) Peek of Casper, James (Magda) Peek of California, Robert Burden of Alaska, and Steven (Sandy) Peek of Montana, along with 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents; her sister, Helen; brother, Harry; brother, Marvin; daughter, Julie; and sons, Richard Burden and Mike Peek. There will be a graveside service at Highland Cemetery in Casper on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 10:30 AM.
