Margaret Bainter

Margaret Elizabeth Mills Bainter passed away at Wyoming Medical Center Saturday October 1, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born March 6, 1921 to James and Blanch Mary (Frisch) of Mills, Wyoming. Her parents moved from Missouri to Casper in the year 1919. Her father was involved in the land business and purchased an area west of Casper, along with his brother, and that area was later named the Town of Mills. Margaret received her education in Casper, attending Park Elementary and graduating from Natrona County High School in 1939. She worked as a dental assistant for two and a half years before she married Darell Bainter, who came to Casper from Kansas. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church on August 25, 1941 where she had been a member for many years. Together the two had a son, Jim, born in Rock Springs, Wyoming and a daughter, Darellene born in Casper. During their sixty-five years of marriage the family lived in Green River, Wyoming, Kansas and Texas. They eventually returned to Casper to make their home. Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed working in the Girl Scouts and the Baseball Program. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an amazing cook and baker and an avid reader. She enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Denver Broncos and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her father, James Mills; mother, Blanch Frisch Mills; husband, Darell Bainter; son, Jim Bainter; and sister, Alice Pattalochi. She is survived by her daughter, Darellene Roussalis (Dr. John E. Roussalis) both of Casper, Wyoming; two grand-daughters, Lisa Dodds (Parke Dodds), Lora Roussalis (Kris Kofakis) all of Casper; two grand-sons, Jim Hankins of Colorado and Ross Hankins of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three great-grandchildren, Marissa Dockter of Casper, and Tristan and Zoe Bunner of Tennessee.; sister-in-law, Eunice Marie (Clifford) Wenger of Colorado and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice, at 319 Wilson Street, Casper Wyoming 82601 or the charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 14th at 3:00 p.m. at Bustards Funeral Home in Casper, WY.
