Lifetime Casper resident, Marcia Nelson, 51, died on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at her home of natural causes. Marcia was born in Casper, Wyoming, daughter of Martin Sanchez, Sr. and Regina (Johns) Sanchez. Marcia was a student at Natrona County High School and Casper College and was a member of the Casper Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps. In her adult years, Marcia loved spending time with family and friends; enjoyed the mountains, her job as a secretary at Pope Construction, flying kites, her dog (Yogi Bear), and traveling with her husband, family, and friends. She was an avid member at the Paradise Valley Country Club, bowling team at El Marko Bowling Lanes, and was a member of a pool league. She was well known for her talents in raising houseplants. We will sorely miss her contagious laugh and celebration of life itself. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Laura, brother, Mike and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include her husband, John, and siblings; Steven Sanchez (Theresa) of Huntingburg, Indiana, Marty (Lynn) Sanchez, Jr. of Casper, Wyoming, Tony (Katrina) Sanchez of Casper, Wyoming, and Ella Anderegg of Boise, Idaho, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at Paradise Valley Country Club on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marcia's name to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 South Wilson Street, Casper, Wyoming 82601. Cremation has been held.
