Marcia A Engum, passed away on Saturday, September 24 at the age of 71. She was born on July 1, 1945 in Racine, WI to Martha and Clarence Roedema. In 1978, while visiting relatives in Casper, Marcia met the man of her dreams, Richard Engum, and for the next 16 years they lived a magical life together, he was her "Richie", she was his "Dutch". He introduced her to the West. Together they enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, and the many wonderful friends they made in Casper. After his tragic death in 1994, Marcia decided to stay in Casper rather than return to Wisconsin. Casper was home. She worked for 25 years for the State of Wyoming, retiring in 2006. Marcia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard, her parents, brothers Lawrence, Richard, Clarence, Jacob, and a sister, Clare. She is survived by her dearest sister, Elaine of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and her loving brother Leroy (Doris) of Sturtevant, WI. Marcia is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and many friends and co-workers in the Casper area. Special thanks to Carola and Russell Cowan and Toni and Jay Darling for looking after Marcia and being so helpful to the family in Wisconsin. Marcia was blessed to have you in her life. It was Marcia's request that she be cremated, and her ashes combined with Richard's to be released in locations special to both of them. A celebration of her life will be held in Wisconsin at a later date. The family would like to hear from people whose life Marcia touched while in Wyoming.
