Madolyn (Pat) Roth, 86, of Mills, WY, passed away April 29, 2016. She was born February 18, 1930 at 111 South Jackson Street in Casper, WY to Nydra and George Sword. She attended Willard School through 5th grade. She moved with her family to Mills in August of 1941. She then attended McKinley School, Junior High and graduated from NCHS in 1948. From what she said she really didn't like school, but she was a good student. Most of her adult life was spent in Mills, WY. She did spend a short period of time in Shiprock, New Mexico and then Rawlins, WY. She worked for Mobile Oil Company for a time which later became Little America Refining. She worked as a secretary in the office at the refinery. She handled the tickets for the road oil and loading dock. She also did the payroll. She later met the love of her life, and on April 8, 1961 she became Mrs. Floyd Roth. They were happily married just a few days short of 55 years. She loved her family and was generous to a fault. She enjoyed doing embroidery and made dish towels for most of the family. She and Floyd enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing in the Bighorns until health concerns put a stop to this activity. She is survived by her son Steve (Sherri) Sword of Casper; brother, Alan (Shirlann) Sword of Casper; children, Sandra Christman of Buffalo, WY, Joseph Roth of Phoenix, AZ, Harvy (Dixie) Roth of Tonasket, WA, Barbara (Woody) Youngren of Oregon City, OR; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nydra Sword; Husband Floyd Roth; and son Skip Todd. Services for and celebration of life will be Friday, May 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery with Dan O'Dell of Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Memorial contributions in Pat's honor may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice, or the Mills Senior Center.
