Mabel Elizabeth (Cellan) Perrine was born on January 31, 1933 in Glenrock Wyoming to Harry Douglas Cellan and Louisa Gonsalves. She grew up in Converse County going to school in Glenrock and Douglas. At the age of 16 she married John Francis Perrine on June 5, 1949. After a honeymoon of touring the west she came back to Casper Wyoming to start her life with her Johnny. She spent the next 50 plus years raising their children and living in various places. Mabel loved to talk about all the places she was able to travel to and see. She especially loved the Grand Canyon and the Pacific Ocean. She spent many years being a mom to her own children and to-any others who she felt needed mothering. She always made you feel like you were part of the family as soon as you walked in her door. Mabel held many jobs over the years. The ones she enjoyed the most were working at the various schools and working at the Wyoming State fair cafeteria. The job she said she hated the most was the year dad and her spent herding sheep. She always said you froze at one end and burned your tail feathers at the other. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, word search books, and pot luck dinners with family and friends. You could always count on a hot cup of coffee at their home and good conversation. Mabel was preceded in death by her father Harry Douglas Cellan, Stepfather Joseph Wesley Alley, mother Louisa Gonsalves Alley, husband John Perrine and Brother Douglas Darrell Cellan. She is survived by her sons Roy Armstrong III; Raymond Wesley, John Ross, Robert Douglas, Rex Allen and her daughter Rebecca Sue and all their spouses. Her two sisters, Mary Sullivan, Flora Bourne and her husband, and a vast amount of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, there is too many to mention. She was loved by many and shall be missed by all that knew her. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at The Gathering, 805 East Richard's, Douglas, Wyoming. Her ashes will be buried June 5, 2018 at the Douglas Cemetery with Cake and Coffee to follow at the Douglas Senior Center. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Douglas Senior Center.
