Lucille passed in grace February 8, 2011 at the Central Wyoming Hospice. Lucille was born on October 5, 1927, in Midwest, Wyoming. She was raised in the Midwest oil fields and graduated from Midwest High School in 1945. Lucille moved to Casper with her parents in 1947, but continued to work for Stanolind Oil Company as a secretary in Midwest. In 1953, Lucille married Doy Whitlock at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Casper. Their first and second sons, Guy and John were born in Casper in 1957 and 1958 respectively. Shortly thereafter, work in the oil field took Doy, Lucille and the family to Texas and New Mexico. Doy took a job with the United States Bureau of Reclamation in 1962, which brought Lucille and the family back to Wyoming, then Utah and Montana. In Montana Lucille and Doy's third child, Mark was born in 1966. In 1967, Lucille, Doy and the family relocated to Almira, Washington when Doy's job moved to Grand Coulee Dam. Lucille was the Sunday school director at Our Saviour's Lutheran in Almira, and was active in the church. She was an active member in the local garden club, participated in church music groups and raised three children. Lucille remained in Almira until 1997 when she relocated to Casper. She was an active member in Our Saviour's Lutheran in Casper, as a member of the choir and the quilting group. She was a member of Earth Angels and crocheted chemo-caps for cancer patients. She also crocheted many baby caps for local hospitals. Lucille is survived by her brother Paul Jarisch of Corvallis, Oregon; three sons, Guy Whitlock of Casper, Wyoming, John Whitlock (Robin) of Lebanon, Oregon, Mark Whitlock (Karen) of Tucson, Arizona; two grand children, Amber Whitlock of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and Seth Whitlock of Sterling, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband Doy, parents Fritz and Elizabeth Jarisch, brother Albert Jarisch and granddaughter Andrea. Lucille was an example of faith, living and serving in Christ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Casper. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 318 E 6th Street, Casper, Wyoming.
