Luke Drury died in Houston, TX from an undiagnosed lung disease on January 22, 2024. He will be buried in Casper, WY where he was born on June 28, 1973. After high school, his career as an SAP expert led to his most current position at Hoerbiger in La Porte, TX. He was a man of faith, a connoisseur of music and a fiercely loyal family member and friend. He never hesitated to run towards the fire when a loved one was in need.
Luke leaves behind his stepdaughter, Ashleigh McCorkle (Dalton) and their daughter Molly, his mom, Jan Cartwright of Cheyenne, WY who was with him when he passed, sisters Kendra (Kevin Ho), Alicia (Duncan Cerone) both of Denver CO, Janelle of Bozeman, MT, and Jeanie Neumann of Seattle, WA. His brother, Aaron (Angi) lives in Cheyenne, WY with their children Brodie, Lily and Arlo, and Aaron’s daughter, Kaya of Madison WI. His brother Jeff Parries and family live in Yakima, WA. Luke is also survived by loving stepfamilies, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a network of friends spanning the country.
Preceding him in death are fathers Craig M. Drury and John J. Simpson, maternal grandparents Albert and Marjorie Cartwright, paternal grandparents Elroy and Florence Drury and R.D. Simpson and Kathryn Simpson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3 at Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home in Casper, WY at 2pm with Pastor Preus of Mount Hope Lutheran Church officiating. A reception will be held afterward, details forthcoming. Graveside services will take place at 10am on Saturday, June 29 in Highland Cemetery.
