Lorraine Hickok

Lorraine Kathleen (Siebert) Hickok passed away peacefully on Saturday March 7th at the Garden Square Assisted Living in Casper Wyoming. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 7 to 8PM at Bustard's Funeral Home. Born on March 13, 1929 in Atkinson Nebraska, Lorraine spent her early years enjoying the farming life on her family farm. In 1945 Lorraine was stricken with polio. A disease she battled the remainder of her life. On April 12, 1948, she married the love of her life Lorne Hickok. They enjoyed a loving bond for almost 68 years. Before moving to Casper in 1957, Lorraine and Lorne operated their own dairy operation in Nebraska. In Wyoming, Lorraine continued her enjoyment of love of animals. She was always known to have an interest in livestock as well as numerous household pets over the years. Always an advocate for the pets no one else wanted. Other passions included many needle work projects, such as knitting, crocheting, quilting and embroidery. She also enjoyed reading and socializing. Lorraine is preceded in death by her daughter Pam Patterson. And her parents, Orville & Elzine Siebert, mother and father in-law, Eugene & Mildred Hickok, and brother Vern Siebert and brother in law Rocky Rothchild. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Lorne E. Hickok. She is also survived by daughter Gayann and husband Wayne Graves of Barnum WY; Gwen and husband Don Richardson of Casper and son Jeff and wife Anne Hickok of Minneapolis, MN. Grandchildren, Jonna Graves-Cubin & husband Eric; Nathan Graves, Megan and husband John Kulas, Shawn Richardson & wife Tabatha. Amanda Tastel, Andy Zwach and Abbey & Casey Hedican. Great Grandchildren are Lilly and Vivian Cubin; Jayden and Ivy Tastel; Bailey Zwach and Rylie and Addison Hedican. She also is survived by her two sisters, Gayle Rothchild of Atkinson, NE and Mary Ann Apfel and husband Ray of Woodriver, NE. Brother in law Verne Hickok of Cyro, NE. Sister in law, Betty Siebert of Atkinson, NE and many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
