Lorraine Bitzenhofer

Lorraine Ruth Bitzenhofer passed away at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, the day before her 89th birthday. She was loved and enjoyed by many and will be greatly missed. Lorraine was born to Chester Archibald and Ruth Mae Sweet on Nov.12, 1924 in Springfield, Illinois. She is remembered as a gregarious and fun-loving girl when she was growing up. On Oct. 10, 1947 she married Frank (Clem) Bitzenhofer at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Casper, Wyoming. They lived and worked and raised their sons, Curtis and Don, in Casper. She was a creative and talented lady, accomplished doll maker, and member of the Casper Doll Club for many years. Lorraine is survived by a sister; brother; son, Don; three grandchildren; great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank and son, Curtis. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 at 10 am at Bustard's Funeral Home. A reception at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church will follow.
