Loretta Powers

Loretta Loraine Powers passed away March 2nd, 2014 in Casper, WY at Central Wyoming Hospice surrounded by family. Loretta was born December 21st, 1939 in Greybull, WY to Jacob Leo Piercy and Georgia Rose Miller. She lived in Greybull, WY, Cloverly WY, and Dash Point, WA. During World War II, Wilsall MT, Burlington WY where she graduated in 1957, and settled in Casper, WY in 1967. In April 1959 Loretta married Vern Edwards and together they had two children. They were later divorced. She married Fred Powers in 1965 and was later divorced. Loretta worked at Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Control Data, Custom Fiberglass, Ingersol Rand and Bayou Bar as a bartender for many years. Loretta loved to travel and read but her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loretta also had friendships that she cherished deeply. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Stasha (Terry) Schenck; son, Brad (Connie) Edwards; grandchildren, Heather Farnes, Cody Edwards and Casey (Phillip) Legler. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Noah Farnes, Bailey Rogers, Kyla Edwards, and Nevaeh and Brielle Hoover. Loretta was preceded in death by her father and mother. Services are being held on March 7th 2014 at 10:00 am at Bustard's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care or Central Wyoming Hospice.
