Loretta Nickerson

Loretta Marie Nickerson of Casper, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Wyoming Medical Center. Loretta was born in Orleans, NE on December 29, 1931 to George and Inez Mayes, and was one of six children. She married Herschel L. Nickerson April 3, 1954 in Philipsburg, KS and came to Casper in 1959 where they started their family of six children. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed watching her children play sports and was an enthusiastic Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan. She loved to bowl with her three daughters and was on leagues for more than 40 years. She was also a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary for 19 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herschel, daughter, Pamela and her siblings, Melvin, Gilbert, Norma Jean, and Donna May. She is survived by her sister, Janice, son, Kirby and wife Kathy from Angleton, TX, son, Herschel and wife Sandra of Casper, daughters, Teresa and Rhonda, both from Casper, son, Ron and wife Heidi from California, along with 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her family very much and will be forever missed and kept in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will be Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Casper, Wyoming. The family would appreciate donations in Loretta's name to Joshua's Store House.
