Lorena Tevis

Lorena (96) passed away at Sheperd of the Valley Care Center, Casper, Wyoming. She was born April 14, 1920 in Briggsdale, CO to Vernal and Eva Orr. Lorena married Ivan Tevis September 1938 in Greeley, CO. Their married life took them to Washington during the war, back to Greeley, moved to Glenrock and then on to Casper. They had 6 children John, Charles, William, Donald, Audrey (Rhodes) and Mary (Schrier). Ivan died in February, 1985. She worked as a Housekeeper at two Nursing Homes in Casper and other varied jobs as she helped support her family. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Casper and missed being there when she was no longer able to attend. She was well loved by all who knew her and will be much missed by her family and they will look forward to seeing her one day again under happier circumstances. Survivors are John and Flora of Olympia, WA, Charles of Grand Junction, CO, William (Bill) and Karen Sue of Casper, WY, Donald of Casper, WY; 29 Grandchildren plus their spouses; 19 Great Grand Children plus spouses; 7 Great Great Grand Children and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and their spouses, two daughters, one daughter-in-law and one great granddaughter. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 12 at Wyoming Memorial Gardens in Casper. A Visitation will be from 12:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday and on Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00 am at Bustard's Funeral Home. The family is grateful to her Seventh-day Adventist family and all of the incredible professionals at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center.
