Lois Mae Mullinnix, life-long resident of Casper, passed away here on July 21st at the age of 84 of complications associated with Alzheimer's Disease. She was the youngest of five children born to Frank and Estella Sauter. Lois Mae Sauter married Johny W. Mullinnix, an independent landman, in 1948; they raised three children, Cynthia Ann, Susan Lynn and Stanley Warren. Mrs. Mullinnix contributed tremendously to the Casper community over her lifetime. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she participated in church government and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a volunteer at the original McKinley Elementary School, where she was the force behind creating a school library. In addition, she was a Brownie and Cub Scout leader, as well as a member of the Casper Landwives. She will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit and many creative and artistic talents. She is survived by her three children, her four beloved grandchildren, Sean McDonald, Stephen McDonald, William Lindmier and Elizabeth Lindmier, as well as several nieces and nephews. Bustard's Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements for a final tribute at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, July 28th at 10:00 a.m., where Mrs. Mullinnix will be interred alongside her husband. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Meals on Wheels, 1760 East 12th Street, Casper, WY 82601.
