Lois Codenys

Lois Eilene Codenys, 85, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 in Miles City, MT. She was born on May 30, 1931 to Carl Peavler and Eva Michael Greene in Basin, WY. She was a stay at home mother raising nine children. Eilene loved to crochet, making dolls for her children and grandchildren and made Christmas ornaments yearly for them as well. She also loved volunteering her time at the elementary school in Evansville, WY in the lunchroom among other duties. She also loved to sing in the church choir. Bob and Eilene moved to Evansville, WY in 1972, where she lived until 2010. Eilene is survived by her children Cynthia (George) Tappe of Casper, WY, Evie (Don) Bixby of Ashland, MT, Connie (John) Robinson of Broadus, MT, Alan (Kalani) Codenys of Tacoma, WA, Beth (Tim Holling) Codenys of Casper, WY, Gwen (Quinton) Vorhies of Cottage Grove, MN, Andrew Codenys of Casper, WY, and Martin (Amy) Codenys of Bismarck, ND; 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Codenys, daughter Norita Ludiker, sister Elsie Codenys, and her parents. A memorial service will take place Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper, WY at 1:00 P.M. with burial of cremated remains at a later date at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery in Casper, WY.
