Linda Flack

Mrs. Linda Freida (Neu) Flack, 90, passed away August 20th, 2015 at the Josie Harper House in Omaha, NE. She was born November 20, 1924 in Gridley, Kansas to Jacob and Katherine (Bohl) Neu. Linda was one of eight children. At age six the family moved to Mitchell, Nebraska. On January 7, 1943 she married George Flack in Gering, Nebraska. In 1946, after serving in WWII, George and Linda moved to Worland, Wyoming and lived there until 1952 when they moved to Casper, Wyoming. In Casper, Linda worked at White's Stop N Shop from 1953 to 1956. She then went to work for Walt Schlessman at Grant Street Grocery from 1956 until 1981 where she enjoyed life long friends in Casper. She then went to work for Brattis Grocery, located in the Sandbar District of Casper before retiring. In 2010, after the death of her husband George, Linda lived in Casper for a year and then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to be near to her daughter Georgia (Flack) Blanford where she enjoyed independent living at the Lakeside Apartments and later at the Walnut Grove Retirement Living. Linda is survived by three children, Carol (Flack) May and her husband, Jack of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Georgia (Flack) Blanford and her husband, Bob of Omaha, Nebraska, and Rodney Flack and his wife, Barbara of Casper, Wyoming. Linda enjoyed her ten grandchildren, Brianna Pellegrino (Ryan), Robert Blanford, Kerri Blanford and Tracy (Blanford)Boone, Elizabeth (Flack) Johnson (Matt), Kimberly (May) Thomason (Matt) and Brandon Flack May, Randy May (Linda), Mike May (Faith), Shane May (Lori) and Cindy (May) Jacobs (Kim). Linda also enjoyed her ten great-grandchildren, Brianna (Ryan) Pellegrino, Brayden Johnson, Bridger Johnson, Brennan Johnson, Abbey Blanford, Sydney Blanford, Payton Boone, and Rylee Stewart. Memorial services will be June 24, 2016 at 10:00 at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery.
