Gail Evans was born September 14th, 1936, in Rawlins, Wyoming to Edith Humphrey and James
Maurice Wilson. Gail, youngest of 10, is survived by sister Pegge Thompson, children Patty Crosby and Scott, daughter-in-law Peggy, son-in-law Gary Crosby, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded by husband Pat, daughters Kim and Holly, and siblings Nellie Duncan, Betty Halsey, Dobe Wilson, Mildred Gleason, Winnie Morrison, Edith Fuller, Bill Wilson, and Norma Nolan.
January 20, 1956, she married Patrick Evans in Craig, Colorado and left the next day for West Texas oil fields. The family moved with the rigs for years: son Scott (1956), daughters Holly (1958), Kimberly (1960), and Patricia (1967). She raised her children with an honest and unwavering love.
Gail started her own clothing store downtown called Wildflower Boutique becoming an active
member of the downtown association planning parades, helping businesses to thrive, and
enriching the community.
Gail moved to Saudi Arabia when Pat was hired there. She loved Saudi and made life-long friends there. She and Pat traveled to Kenya, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, Cyprus, Israel, and Europe.
Gail loved new experiences. She took yearly trips with her sisters in the states and abroad to taste, see, and explore. She splashed her feet in every sea/ocean she encountered. Sports, pro and those of her grandkids, were a source of joy and good-humored jokes. Loved ones, holidays together, food, playing in the dirt, learning, and honesty mattered greatly to Gail. She loved fiercely and will be sorely missed.
