Lillian Blanton

Lillian Marie Blanton, age 87, passed away on April 7, 2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice. Lillian was born February 14, 1930 to Jacob and Marie Dorn in Billings, MT. She graduated from Billings Senior High School class of 1948. Lillian married Ozie Blanton, December 18, 1948 in Billings, MT. Together they raised daughters, Mary and Wanda. Lillian worked at Memorial Hospital, Control Data, Central Wyoming Skin Clinic and the family business, Blanton Diesel Engine & Rig Service, until they retired. Lillian enjoyed traveling and many camping trips in their motor home. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, crafting and spending time with family and friends. Lillian was a member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church and Mt. Hope Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents of Billings, MT., daughter, Mary Bennion, Engelwood, CO.; brother, Gene Dorn, Billings, MT., sister, Darlene Zurowski, Kallispell, MT. Lillian leaves many who loved her dearly, husband Ozie Blanton, Casper, WY.; daughter, Wanda (Ron) Johnson, Alcova, WY.; son-in-law, Scott (Stephanie) Bennion; grandson, Travis (Kimi) Johnson, (Corbin and Farren); granddaughter, Tina (Eric) Holbrook, (Danika and Khloe) all of Casper, WY.; grandsons, Scott (Jennifer) Bennion, (Mackinize, Brooklynn), Newnan, GA.; Beau (Chrissy) Bennion, (Chase and Lily), of Parker, CO.; Brandon (Amy) Bennion, (Luke and Zoey),Casper, WY.; sister, JoAnn Adams, Yakima, WA., and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 4-7 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home in Casper. Services will be at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, 2300 South Hickory Street, Casper on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Dr. Christian Preus officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens. At Lillian's request, no flowers please, that memorials may be made to Mt. Hope Lutheran Church Ladies Auxiliary, Central Wyoming Hospice or the Mary Bennion Foundation.
