Lewis "Bosco" Monroe Land, a beloved member of his family and community, passed away on October 2, 2023, in Casper, Wyoming. Lewis was born on July 18, 1941, in Royse City, Texas. He grew up in the Rowlett Rock Wall area of Texas and developed a deep attachment to his roots.
Throughout his life, Lewis pursued a career as a truck driver. His dedication to his work was exemplary, and he spent many years behind the wheel, navigating the highways with skill and expertise. Lewis's commitment and hard work were admired by everyone who knew him.
Aside from his professional pursuits, Lewis always placed great importance on family. He cherished his loved ones and was known for his unwavering love and care towards them. Growing up, he developed an unbreakable bond with his siblings Thelma, Margie, Dorothy, Eli, Bruce, Milton, and Mitchell. Their shared memories will forever be treasured.
In 1983, fate brought Lewis into the life of Nancy "June" Bell when they met in Dallas, Texas. Their enchanting connection blossomed into marriage later that same year. Their union filled Lewis's heart with joy and love.
Tragically, Lewis and June experienced the profound loss of their son Jeremey, who was born in 1986 and passed in 1987. Despite the sorrow he endured with Jeremey's passing, Lewis held steadfastly to the love he had for his surviving son Jonathan. Jonathan remained a pillar of support for Lewis throughout their lives together.
Lewis had an engaging personality that drew people towards him effortlessly. He possessed a great zeal for music and took immense pleasure in strumming melodies on his guitar while playing bluegrass music. His melodic tunes filled many hearts with joy.
In addition to Jonathan, Lewis is also survived by his children, Mike Clark, Hope White, Matthew and Maria. Lewis's grandsons, Xander Land, Kemper Land, and Samuel Arnold immeasurable joy and pride into his life. He cherished the time spent with each one of them, creating beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.
Lewis Monroe Land will be remembered as a devoted family man who dedicated his life to those he held dear. His warm smile and gentle nature touched the lives of many. May his memory live on through the love he shared and the impact he made on those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 12:00pm until the start of the service beginning at 2:00pm at Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home in Casper, Wyoming.
