Lewen Bill Street Jr. Obituary Lewen Bill Street Jr. "L. B." departed his Casper Mountain home to be with Our Father in Heaven June 14, 2019 at the age of 94. L. B. was born August 25, 1924 in Joliet, Montana to Lewen Bill Street Sr. and Jewell Fern Weidman Street. L. B. came to Casper, Wyoming at a very young age where he attended school including Natrona County High School. L. B. joined the navy in 1944 where he served on the USS South Dakota during World War II. He participated in the Asian Pacific Campaign, American Area Campaign, Philippines Liberation and the European African M. E. Area Campaign. While in the Navy he earned the nick name "Old Man". L. B. was honorably discharged in 1946 as a Seaman 2c USNR. Upon L. B.'s return from war, he joined the Carpenters Apprenticeship Program at Local Union # 1564 where he was a member for over 60 years. L.B. worked at the Sinclair Refinery, Dave Johnson Power Plant, Jim Bridger Power Plant, job superintendent during the construction of the East Ridge Mall and many more construction project throughout the State of Wyoming. In September of 1954, L. B. married Mildred P. Heitkamp. L. B. enjoyed horses, sheep, hunting, fishing, looking for arrowheads, Denver Bronco's, playing his guitar, boxing on t.v. and visiting with family and friends. Upon retirement, L. B. took care of his wife Mildred and his father Lewen Bill Street Sr. at the family home on Casper Mountain. L. B.'s surviving daughter, Debbie Street Herrera had assisted him at his Casper Mountain home for the past 15 years. Also surviving are Howard Heitkamp (Peggy) Duluth, Minnesota, Clyde Street (Holly), William Street (Laura) and Jackie Menke (Jon) all of Casper, Wyoming. 14 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. L. B. was preceded in death by his wife Mildred, son David, Father Lewen Bill Street Sr., Mother Jewell Fern Chalfant, Step Mother Jennie Day Street, Step Father C. R. Jack Cummins, Step Father Earl Chalfant, Brothers Roy Street and Jack Street and Daughter in laws Patricia Street and Kathy Jo Street. The family would like to thank the Casper Veterans Clinic and Frontier Home Health and Hospice. A Ceremony of Life will be held June 24, 2019 @ 10:00am at the Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, Wyoming.
