Leslie Harrison

Leslie S. Harrison, age 70, passed away October 15, 2015 in Rapid City, SD. Mr. Harrison was born November 10,1945 in Wyoming. He attended Midwest High School. For many years he worked as a Tool Pusher in the oil industry. On August 11, 2006, in Newcastle, Wyoming, Leslie married his wife, Linda Harrison. A Vietnam veteran, who served in the U.S. Army, he was a member of both the American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and exploring the great outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family. Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife Linda Harrison of Rapid City,SD; daughters Vickie Van Norman of Casper,WY and Leah Whitaker of Cheyenne,WY; sons Bill Harrison and Frank (Ruby) Harrison of Edgerton,WY; stepdaughters Emily Wang of Tilford,SD and Denise (Wayne) Anderson of Newcastle, WY; stepsons Pat (Juliette) Huey of Newcastle, WY, Brent (Renee) Wang of Rapid City, SD, and Shane Huey and Wade Wang of Minnesota; and brother Gerald (Dolly) Harrison. He also leaves behind 33 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his father Byron; mother Ida; sisters Ruby and Mary: brother Larry; two nephews; and his grandson Joshua T. Van Norman. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00AM Friday, October 23, 2015 at Bustard's Funeral Home, with Pastor Tracey Sutherland officiating. Memorial contributions in Burl's name may be made to the family, to be given to an organization that assists veterans.
