Leroy Luther Moore 81, passed into his eternal life at the Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas, Wyoming, on May 16, 2019 after a long battle with heart disease. He was born in Lovell, Wyoming, on March 23, 1938 to Luther and Mattie (Pilcher) Moore. Leroy was happily married late in life to Mariann (Isom). Leroy loved spending time with his children, family and grandkids in a variety of activities, such as fishing, hunting, camping, attending sporting activities and playing card games. Leroy was a voracious reader - carrying a book with him in his back pocket for easy access reading Louis L' Amour and other western inspired novels. He was the happiest with a fishing pole in hand catching trout and cooking them on an open fire by a mountain stream for his family and friends. Leroy graduated from Glenrock High School in 1957 and served in the United States Army as a mechanic. Throughout his lifetime he excelled in many highly skilled trades, to include ranching, oil and gas, mining, electrical, welding, mechanics and construction. There wasn't anything Leroy couldn't do. Leroy is survived by his sister, Jeanette (Charles) Wright Douglas, WY, four children and their families Brenda Payne, Saratoga, WY, Sherry Myers, Afton, OK, Shawna (Chip) Davenport, Warsaw, IN, Kevin Moore. Littleton, CO, and several stepchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Mattie Moore, his wife Mariann Moore, daughter Bonnie Fors and several stepchildren . Per his wishes a private memorial service will be held at a later date when his family can gather to celebrate his life and love. His final resting place will be at the Glenrock, WY cemetery next to his wife Mariann.
