Leroy Briggs, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Monday January 22, 2018. He was born in Culleoka, TN on December 2, 1934 to William Amos Briggs and Tommie Pauline (Moore) Briggs. Leroy was a longtime resident of Casper, WY. He lived a full life and was a strong presence for his family. His mission in life was to make sure his children were capable, responsible and successful. He defined success as being self-sufficient, the ability to provide for one's family and having the time to enjoy the simple things in life. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and working with his hands. His children will always have found memories of him and the numerous outdoor adventures we all loved. He taught his boys everything he knew about the trades he worked and he taught all of his children the lessons he learned in life. He was preceded by his loving and devoted wife, Julia Ann (Soulliere) Briggs. Julia passed away on October 31, 2017. Without her, Leroy spirit quickly slipped away. Leroy was also proceeded by his parents, William Amos Briggs and Tommie Pauline (Moore) Briggs, his sister Linda Mai (Briggs) Palmer, his son Leroy Briggs Jr and two of his daughters; Victoria Briggs and Valerie (Briggs) Smoke. He is survived by his, 4 sons, John N. Haid, Timothy A. Haid, David S. Haid and Mark A. Briggs and 4 daughters Tammy M. (Briggs) Simmerson, Robin M. (Haid) White, Wendy L. (Haid) Bruntmyer, Michelle L. Haid, and 4 siblings, William A., Donald F., Tommy E., and Joe M. Briggs and 32 grandchildren and at least 14 great grandchildren. Services will be held at Bustards Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
