Leonard Charles Linde, age 74, of Casper, Wyoming passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 7, 2023. Leonard was born February 22, 1949, in Brooks, Alberta, Canada to Victoria (Hobson) Linde Schmidt and Otto Wilfred Linde. He attended schools in Three Hills and graduated from Three Hills Highschool in 1967. Shortly after High School, he joined the Royal Canadian Navy and was honorably discharged in April of 1973. After Service he worked for mining companies keeping all machinery, gensets and operations working. Len started work for Wentzel Downhole and came to the United Sates in 1993 to operate the U.S. Business and eventually moved on to Haliburton till 2015. Len met Pamela Lee Linde on a blind date and married the love of his life in Estes Park, Colorado on October 3, 2003. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed riding Motorcycles and going to the Elks Club with his friends. He also enjoyed rock hunting and people watching with wife, Pamela.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela, his sister, Vicki-Lou Conroy, his mother, Victoria Schmidt and father, Otto Linde.
He is survived by his sister, Karin (Ed) Nakaska, stepchildren, Stephanie (Mike) Rastetter, Amee (Dan) Zuck, and Cameron Herther, grandchildren, Kaleigh and David Young, Clayne, Braylee and Rylee Standish and several nieces, nephews, friends, and Taz and Patches (his beloved kitties).
A gathering for friends to greet with Leonard’s family will be on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Bustard and Jacoby Funeral Home.
A reception for family and friends will be held at 4:30pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Casper, Elks Lodge, 108 E 7th St, Casper, WY 82601.
