Leamon "Lee" May, 86, passed away on April 2, 2019 at home in Douglas, Wyoming surrounded by family. Lee was born on January 16, 1933 in Reynolds, Missouri to Agnes (Sanders) and Willard May. In 1957, Lee married the love of his life, Wilma Barlow. They celebrated 62 years of marriage on March 23. In 1950, Lee started his career in uranium mining which spanned from Colorado, Utah, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Wyoming. He retired in 1995. Lee belonged to Ashlar Lodge #10 A.F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge; Korein Temple; Woodbine Chapter #18 O.E.S. Leamon is survived by his wife, Wilma May; daughter, Kim (Tony) Hiser; sons, Terry (Dorothy) May; and Bryce May all of Douglas, WY; daughter, Periann (Bill) Nichols, of Brush, CO; son, Richard (Debbie) May of Palmyra, WI; sister, Janet Buffington of Dove Creek, CO; sister, Mary Carr of Wenatchee, WA; sister, Judy (Glenn) Buffington of Kenai, AK. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Bucher, and father Willard May; infant son, Roger May and infant sister, Evelyn May; stepfather Wendelin Bucher; stepbrothers, Louie Bucher, Wilburn Bucher and stepsister, Rose Mary (Bucher) Santoyo. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 8, 2019 at the Frontier Baptist Church in Douglas. Interment will be at the Douglas Park Cemetery. Reception immediately following at Ashlar Lodge #10, 138 N. 4th Street, Douglas. Memorial donations may be made in Leamon's name to the Shriners Children's Hospital c/o Donor Relations, 2900 N.
