My Grandpa was an amazing man. He was humble, unassuming and perpetually cordial and kind. Few people know that because of him and his painstaking work with the Wyoming Game and Fish, Wyoming gained congressional approval of minimum stream flow below Kortes Dam, creating great fishing at Miracle Mile and Greg Reef Dam on the North Platte River what it is today. As a result of his service he was presented the 1975 Game and Fish Directors Award - one of the highest of all honors to go to a Game and Fish employee. A small piece of paper that I discovered in his personal belongings described how he lived his daily life. "Only one to a Customer: All ours... this bright, new day. Complete with 24 hours of opportunities, choices, attitudes...a perfectly matched set of 1440 minutes. But this unique gift - this one day - cannot be exchanged, replaced or refunded, so handle with care. Make the most of it. There's only one to a customer." May you rest in Peace Grandpa. We love you. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 S. Wilson St. Casper, WY 82601. They were so kind and gentle with him in his final days.
