Lawrence (Larry) Edward Diehl, 74, of Casper, passed away on March 23, 2011 after a brief battle with congestive heart failure. Larry was born on March 15, 1937 in Parkerton, WY (approximately where Meadow Acres is now) to Charles and Mary (Ostrander) Diehl. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1956. He entered military service with the U.S. Army in 1957 and was stationed at Camp Lucas in Sault-Ste Marie, MI. Larry then married Pat Patrick (Fuerstnau) in 1959 and they had two children, Deborah Diehl and Danelle Gunderson (Diehl). In 1972 Larry married Beverly (Bev) Diehl (Feigel). Larry retired from KN Energy, formerly Northern Utilities, in 1995 after 37 years of customer service work in the gas utility field. He was also a member of the local Elks Lodge. Larry had many hobbies and interests including poker and other card games with family and friends, morning coffee with his dear friends, bird watching, spending time at the senior center, playing bingo and gambling. Larry especially cherished the time at the family cabin at Glendo where he would spend his time boating, water skiing, fishing and visiting with family and friends. To Larry, no one was a stranger, he was eager to chat with everyone he encountered, and was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and Charles Diehl, his brothers, Gerald and Charles (Denny) Diehl, and his sisters Shirley Shockey (Diehl) and Violet Tiffany (Diehl). He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Bev) Diehl (Feigel), his daughters Debbie Diehl and Danelle Gunderson (Diehl), a step-son; Duane Stover, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
