Laura Buchholz

Laura Jean Shaffer - Buchholz passed away on November 16, 2015. She was born March 15, 1930 to John S. Shaffer and Elizabeth Elvira Wilson in Brainerd, MN. She was raised in South Dakota and moved to Wyoming in 1982. She was a nurse's aide at Shepherd of the Valley for many years. Later she took great pride in her job as the Crossing Guard for Mountain View School. On November 19, 1950 she married Eugene M. Buchholz in Harrold, SD. She was the mother of five children, David Upton (Late), Leonard L Buchholz, Beverly F. Cantleberry (Late), Dennis G. Buchholz (Heidi), Laurie A. Hack (Frank); grandchildren, James, Karen, Stephanie, Jared, Sherrie, Jeremy, Brian (Jennifer), Michael, Kristofer, Aaron, Ethan; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Miles, Natalie, Lynnia, Alan, Kari, Gareth, Odin, Nikolia. Laura was a feisty lady, with a huge heart that would go without to help someone she thought was in need. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and had made over 240 quilts that she proudly gave away. She was a very private person however, had a very caring heart.
