He was a member of the Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band, where among other musical events, he once had the opportunity to play tuba for a professional football half time show. Friends remember him as a “bassist, cowboy, dog lover, and one of the nicest humans they ever had the pleasure to know.” Larry returned to Wyoming to work as a music teacher for grades K-12 at Midwest, WY. He later transferred to Powell where he again taught music for grades K-12. Larry went on to become a licensed realtor and a professional auctioneer. He donated his services to many charitable organizations. He continued to enjoy playing music with his own band and several other bands around the state, including with jazz great Ronney Bedford. Larry was also a hunter and loved to dance.

Larry served as State Master Councilor of DeMolay, and was a member of the Masons, Elks Lodge, and Eagles Lodge. Larry loved his friends so much that when one couple asked him to officiate at their wedding, he obtained the education and credentials to be a one-time wedding minister for them. Larry was known and well loved by many at his darts clubs and other social events.

Larry is survived by his mother, Katherine Verline Davis, sister Laura (Mike) Conrad, and his twin niece Gwen and nephew Spencer. Larry is also survived by a close friend and business associate, Sharey, was a beloved father figure to Randi, and many close friends whom he considered family.
