Kyle Rodger Thompson, age 34, was called home by the Lord on March 2, 2018 in Casper Wyoming. Kyle, adored son of James Rodger and Cecilia Maureen Thompson, was born in Casper Wyoming on June 11, 1983. Kyle attended schools in Casper including Crest Hill Elementary, Dean Morgan Jr High, NCHS and Casper College. Although he worked at a few Casper businesses he spent most of his years as a finish carpenter with Gordon Milne. Kyle loved his family and friends and enjoyed most spending time with them camping, fishing or at the ice arena. He was devoted to the Casper Amateur Hockey Association from the time he first skated at age 4. He played through high school and was involved as an adult with the program by coaching and assisting with his young children's teams. Kyle was happiest with a fishing pole in his hand. Introduced to fishing at 10 days old he continued to love fishing and passed this love to his children. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Nora Thompson, Cecil and Minnie Simms, and his uncle William Thompson. He is survived by his loving parents Rodger and Maureen Thompson, his children Jaylee Schnabel, Jesse Morgan, and William Thompson, his sister Leticia Drake, brother in law, Terry Drake and their children. Kyle also leaves behind an extended family that includes numerous beloved cousins and friends. Services are under the direction of Bustards funeral home, and will be held on Friday March 9, 2018 at 11am and will be officiated by Tom Rush. A celebration of life will follow at Casper First Church of the Nazarene; 2020 S Jefferson. Memorials and donations can be made in his honor to the Casper Amateur Hockey Association, Metro Animal Control, Casper Humane Society or a charity of the donors choice. . . .
