Kimberly Merritt

On October 7th 2018 Kimberly Marshalene Merritt was given beautiful angel wings. Kimber was diagnosed with a rare disorder call Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation. She spent the last month of her life valiantly fighting this disorder at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver Co. In her short four months here on earth she taught us so much about love, joy, hope, courage, spirit and strength. We will never forget her beautiful smile or her sassy little attitude towards life. We will live our lives to honor her memory by remembering the lessons she taught us. We will fight to grow and be happy, but mostly even when all the odds are stacked against us and the situation looks hopeless we will not lose hope. Her Mommy and Daddy want to send the message to any parent of a child with CDG to never give up on your little one. Fight for them. Be their voice, their comfort and their soft touches. And most importantly never ever give up hope. Little Kimber's Papa Eddie was gifted his wings just a year before her. We are so comforted by the fact that he was there to take her in his arms and lead her to heaven. She had multiple family members to meet there in heaven. We are sure that her welcome there was one of great love and comfort. She now gets to take on the important role of being the angel looking over her Mommy and Daddy Kalub and Victoria Merritt and her three big brothers Eddie, Lukas and Tanner and all the rest of her family that loved her so dearly. Rest easy precious angel. We will all see you again. There will be a casual gathering of family and friends October 19th at 4 p.m. at Bustards Funeral Home on CY Ave in Casper Wyoming. Kimber's family intends on wearing pink in memory of her. If you want to you are welcome to as well but it is not expected. We are also going to have a gathering later that evening but details on that are still pending. We would like to send our heartfelt appreciation to everybody that has supported our family throughout our time of sorrow.
