Kenneth O. Huff was born December 17, 1926 to parents George Byron Huff and Mary Ethel (Smith) in Daleville Indiana, and passed away on February 27,2015. Ken grew up during the depression and learned how to make the most with the least. He enrolled in Army Specialized Training Program at Purdue University in 1944-45, and served as sergeant in the US Army 1944- 46. Upon his return in 1946, he attended Indiana University and received a bachelor's degree in Geology in 1948. He then served 2 tours in Korea in 1950-51 where he was involved in extensive combat as a tank commander. On March 25, 1957, Ken married his soul mate Donna Mae Zimmerschied. Ken worked in the petroleum industry in the Rocky Mountain region where he eventually became self employed as a consultant geologist. Using his oilfield experience, he developed and patented equipment used by oil companies and geologists involved in oil exploration. He and Donna went on to found Adventures Inc. in 1971 to provide services to the oil and gas industry with great success. Ken enjoyed inventing, designing and building things in his shop throughout his life. He developed first rate mechanical design skills and learned advanced machinery fabrication techniques working with stainless steel and other metals. He enjoyed welding, forming and machining many of his ideas into finished products. He found time to enjoy the great outdoors and rode motorcycles and 4 wheelers exploring the back country fishing hunting and camping. Ken was a fiercely patriotic man, always proud of his country. He was a member of the District Export Council for US Dept. Commerce in Wyoming from 1977-1983. He was also a member of The Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Wyoming Geological Association and the Casper Petroleum Club. Ken and Donna have 4 children, John R., Robert B., Donald F., and daughter Patricia J. (McKenzie). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Alex, Logan and Laramie whom he truly enjoyed. Ken was a great father and always provided expertise and wisdom to his children in their endeavors. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Interment will be held at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, located at Evansville, WY.
