Kenneth Lynn Hoff passed away at home on Casper Mountain, WY on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the age of 63. Ken was born in Moorhead, Minnesota on January 25,1953 to Orvin and Valborg Hoff. He grew up in West Fargo and Jamestown, ND, graduating from Jamestown High School. Ken went on to earn his bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University. Throughout his career, Ken focused on community; in the public health field in North Dakota and Montana, in his work as Assistant Director at the Casper-Natrona County Health Department, and then, as Executive Director of Wyoming Independent Living. Ken's focus on community also included being an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a volunteer firefighter with the Casper Mountain Fire Department. On June 12, 2004 Ken and Margo Frost Spurrier were married in Ester-brook, WY. Ken loved hunting and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed visiting Yellowstone National Park. He loved family activities and always delighted in playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Margo, his stepchildren Michele Robson, Erica Spurrier (John Strand) and Justin Spurrier (Jessica) his grandchildren Lauren, Logan and Landon Strand, his mother, Valborg, his brother, Stanley, his sister, Sharon Haiskanen (James) and nephews, Adam and Michael Sommerness. He is preceded in death by his Father. Services for Ken will be at the Trail Center on Casper Mountain on January 9, 2017 at 4:00 pm.
