Memorial services for Ken Hauf, 44, will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Restoration Church with Pastor Justin Limmer officiating. Cremation has been held under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Home. Ken M. Hauf of Casper, Wyoming died at home on January 22, 2012. Ken was born in Torrington, Wyoming to Harold R. Hauf and Patty Sue Hauf on May 16, 1967. Ken met the love of his life Deedra in 1985. He often told people that the first time he met Deedra, she would be the one he would marry and would spend the rest of his life with. Ken & Deedra were married on December 6, 1987. Ken and Deedra built a life that most would never think of having, they loved hard and fought with passion. Ken was a hard worker and was proud of his work ethics; he passed those work ethics down to his kids. Ken worked construction for many years; he always talks about his first job with Lamb Construction. Ken was the youngest person to ever run a Hot Plant at the age of 19. Ken furthered his career by working for Rissler & McMurry for several years. Due to an unexpected injury, that changed his course of direction. Ken went back to college and graduated with his AS degree in Arcitectural and Drafting Design. With that degree in hand he quickly went to work for WLC in Casper. As time went on Ken finally called Tetra Tech his home, where he was Senior Design Manager. Ken always said that now instead of building those highways etc..., he was now designing them. Ken was an avid hunter and couldn't wait for Elk Season when he and his friends would be up in Dubois scouting for the "Big One". Ken had friends that he knew would be beside him no matter what. Ken was also active with 4-H and FFA. He supported his daughters in everything they chose to do, as well as gave support and advice to the many kids involved in 4-H and FFA. He will be sadly missed by the close community of 4-H and FFA. Ken passed his love of hunting to his youngest daughter Courtney and his love of fishing to his daughter Serena. Ken loved his family and friends with everything he had. Ken was known for talking about his two daughters Courtney and Serena Hauf and his wife Deedra of their accomplishments and just how much he loved them. One big accomplishment he often talked about was Courtney, Livestock Judging on the International level in Scotland this past summer. Serena as well judged, and went to Nationals on the Dairy Team. Those two girls were his pride and joy and he was very proud of every accomplishment they ever achieved. Ken is survived by his wife Deedra, their two daughters Serena and Courtney of Casper, his brother Jim (Janelle), of Iowa, Skip, of Torrington, Dale, of Cheyenne and Tammy (Jerry) of Torrington. He also had several nieces and nephews that he loved as if they were his own kids. Ken was preceded in death by Harold R. Hauf, his dad, Patty Sue Hauf, his mom as well as his grandparents Scott and Meda Holman and Christian and Dorothy Hauf. Memorials may be made to Ken's family.
