Kenneth Bowen

Kenneth Roy Bowen age 93 passed away peacefully with loving family by his side on June 2, 2019 following a short illness. He was born February 21,1926 in Patoka Illinois to George and Leatha Bowen. He grew up in Patoka Illinois with his 10 brothers and sisters until his enlistment in the United States Navy in 1944, serving on the USS Hanson. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he returned to Patoka Illinois to help on the family farm. He later moved to California where he married Juanita Burns where they lived for 20 years raising a family. He later divorced and moved to Casper Wy in 1970 where he worked for Core Lab Industries for 20 years. Ken then met Virginia and they were married in 1972 were they raised Virginia's three daughters that he loved and raised as his own. In 1980 Ken and Virginia worked side by side to start their business B-1 Industries, he enjoyed sharing his love and knowledge of core analysis with any one who would listen but his biggest fans were his kids, who also loved working beside him learning the family business. Ken enjoyed not only teaching them the business but always found humor in knowing he was not only their Dad but their boss too. Ken was proceeded in death by his loving wife Virginia, parents ,and four brothers and four sisters. His grandson Kenny, nephew Brian and a great niece Jessica. He is survived by his daughters Arlene Gallinger (Chip), Audrey Bay (Mike), Angela Tschacher, Dawnette Miner,Sharon Kay Pridgen, Linda Beasley, his sons Tony Bowen ( Valoree) Rick Bowen, Brad Bowen and his two sisters Kathy Smith (Don) and Freda Chasteen. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. Viewing will be at Bustards Funeral Home June 7th @ 1:00pm services will be held at 2:00pm internment will be at Highland Cemetery.
