Kelvin Huber died at the age of 77 on Monday, October 28 following a hard fought battle with melanoma. Kelvin was born in Casper on March 28, 1942 to Paul and Lorraine Huber. He attended Natrona County High School and studied art at institutes in Casper, Los Angeles, Miami and New York City. He served in the US Navy as an aerial photographer. During his long career in Casper, he worked as a successful industrial and graphic designer, starting his own office called The Art Company. He married Heather Forbes in 1990, celebrating nearly thirty years of marriage. Kelvin was a renowned painter, a phenomenal chef, an avid outdoorsman and a lifelong Denver Bronco fan. He was a quintessential cowboy, enjoying countless days in the western wilderness with family, friends and fellow ranchers. Kelvin was preceded in death by parents, his brother Paul, sister Karen, Elree Pettrini, whom Kelvin was married to for 14 years, his first wife Elaine Holton and their son Mark. Kelvin is survived by his wife Heather, step children Trisha Butcher (Jesse) and Justin Frost; Cass (Hannah) and Jared (Tia), his sons with Elree; sister-in-laws Shannon Forbes and Valarie White, his daughter Denise and son Bryan, niece Sterling Butler (Jon), nephew Tony; and several beloved grandchildren. Donations in Kelvin's honor may be made to the Casper Shrine Club Travel Fund. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, Nov. 1 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, directly followed by a reception at the Casper Shriners Club.
